So here's my crappy attempt at a copy of the cover of the OST for 5 Centimeters per Second by Shinkai Makoto. It's a beautiful 3 part OVA that deals with subjects most humans don't want to think about: promises that can't be kept, and endings not always being happy. It's a gorgeous love story, without being sappy, and almost every minute is painfully beautiful.
My reference picture was like 100x100 pixels big so it was mostly my own work haha. Also, my scanner didn't work, so I used my pretty camera. Stupid vista problems. So that explains the darker gradients towards the bottom. I think it looks nice that way. I added a couple of my own elements to the picture, and I liked the way it turned out, consider my "talents" >.> Did it listening to the gorgeous soundtrack. Oh yeah, the art from the movie is amazing. Of course, the movie, title, and probably picture too is copyright Shinkai Makoto. |
